About Us
The Economics Association is the official student body that serves as the link between the student community and the Department of Economics & Finance at BITS Hyderabad. Our aim is to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of economics by making the subject more approachable and engaging for students from all disciplines. We achieve this through a variety of initiatives including interactive events, hands-on workshops and insightful guest lectures, that encourage both academic and practical learning.
Teams
Core
The Core team forms the strategic and operational backbone of the Association. They are responsible for ideating, planning, and executing events like talks, workshops, competitions, and collaborations. The core team works to bring the Association’s vision to reality, ensuring the smooth execution of all initiatives.
Editorial
The Editorial team is the voice of the Association. Focused on writing, and content creation, they publish articles, posts, and interviews on a wide range of economic topics. Through their work, they aim to make economics more accessible, insightful, and engaging for the student community.
Design
The Design team brings the Association’s ideas to life visually. Whether it’s crafting eye-catching posters, designing social media posts, or creating visuals for events, they ensure that the Association’s outreach is aesthetically appealing. The Design team enhances how the Association connects with students and portrays its brand.
